Project Overview

De Winter International provide ICT Recruitment and Talent Management Services in New Zealand and globally.  They came to DMD Internet wanting to redesign their existing website.

Challenge

They needed a Content Management System (CMS) which would allow them to add edit and delete pages.  The website needed to have a job application system where a visitor can search jobs, add them to a basket and apply online.  The jobs needed to be added and updated automatically from De Winter's internal system.  They also needed additional functionality like a newsletter, online forms and an advanced search engine.

Solution

The solution for De Winter was to use DMD Internet’s Content Management System, QuicksitePro.  This has the functionality that De Winter was after to manage their website.  It allows them to add, edit and delete pages, view website statistics, upload various file formats and lots more.  

De Winter got the jobs module integrated into their QuicksitePro.  The jobs module simplifies the process of adding new jobs to the website.  Firstly to add a new vacancy it is entered into De Winters internal system.  The new vacancy needs to have all the details of the job and the email address of the job manager.  It is then uploaded to the website automatically from De Winter's internal system and added to the list of vacancies. When a user clicks on a job vacancy they are presented with all the details of the job and a form that they can complete online. On submitting the form it is emailed to the job manager as an application.

Forms were built into the website so that users could register a vacancy or submit their CV online.  This information is then transferred from the form to an email address at De Winter.  DMD Internet designed an advanced search engine so users could search under more than one category allowing the website to be more user friendly.
